President Message

My name is Barbara Bomfim and I am a rising senior at American Heritage Plantation. Since my freshman year, I have been actively engaged in KHK; highlights of my time include founding the KHK Instagram, launching the first KHK Club at American Heritage, and singing the National Anthem at the 2023 KID Hero 5k. Throughout these joyful years, I have accumulated a multitude of ideas to strengthen our relationship with the KID children and I am thrilled to put them into action as this year’s KHK President. In order to create more personal connections with the KID children, I will take advantage of my role as President of KHK Club at American Heritage to collaborate with other clubs both in and outside my school to develop more fun activities for the KID children while engaging more student volunteers through greater service opportunities. From musical performance and lessons, to engineering activities, to movie nights, to monthly birthday parties, to collaborations with BIPOC Student Unions, this year will be filled with new unique engagements for everyone to enjoy. I am so grateful for the impact KHK has made in my life and the lives of others, and I hope to further expand that life changing impact in our community through my presidency.
