THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
KID Auxiliary and KHK have been helping with the Thanksgiving food drive for several years. This November we completed 1,647 bags and $26,188 in cash and gift cards which were donated to families in need! They were colleeected at commercial locations, large companies, schools, churches, synagogues, and assembled into family meal bags, including a gift card to Publix for the purchase of a Turkey. Thank you for your collaboration!
KID HERO 5K
The 20th Annual KID Hero 5K presented by UKG and hosted by the KID Auxiliary is a family fun day for all. On January 25, 2025 participants released their inner superhero by dressing up in their best costume, solo or with sidekicks as they ran or walked in support of 20,000+ vulnerable children and families in our community. Virtual participants joined forces by running or walking. This year the Hero 5K had a record of 796 participants and raised more than $110K!
DUCK FEST DERBY
The 19th Annual Duck Fest Derby presented by JM Family Enterprises is one of South Florida’s premier charity events. On April 5th 2025 children of all ages will enjoy a free, family-friendly, "Duck Fete" - a "Mardi Gras' themed festival filled with “quacky” activities in the KID Fun Zone including the KID Olympics, face painting, petting zoo, live entertainment, delicious food trucks, and more.
Then 40,000 rubber ducks will be dropped in the New River to race for prizes and in support of our mission. Community members can buy entries in the race by forming “Duck Teams” or adopting individual ducks for $5 each for a chance to win one of our fabulous prizes including the grand prize of $10,000 cash.
