PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
WELCOME TO KID AUXILIARY
I am excited to continue my role as President of Kids in Distress Auxiliary for the 2024-2025 year. With a year under my belt now, I know more and have learned so much alongside our board members, who were also new last year. We now feel confident that this year will be even better.
My journey with the Kids in Distress Auxiliary began when my boys were in preschool and are now in college. Over the years, I have volunteered in various positions, head of kid activities at the agency, serving as the VP through Sponsorship, leading the Hero 5K, and Coordinator of the Kids Helping Kids in Distress (KHK). These experiences have deepened my passion for making a positive impact on the lives of the children that the agency serves.
One of the most rewarding aspects of volunteering with Kids in Distress has been the opportunity to work alongside my children during their high school years through KHK. Witnessing their growth, empathy, and commitment to serving others has been inspiring. I see the same with our members volunteering with their kids with KHK. It has reinforced the power of collective action and family involvement in creating a better world for those in need.
As we move forward, I am excited to forge a stronger alliance between the Auxiliary and Kids Helping KID (KHK). By combining our efforts, we can have even more fun while raising awareness and funds for the KID Agency. Together, we will create a force that amplifies our impact and brings hope to those who need it most.
Volunteering with the Kids in Distress Agency has been an incredibly fulfilling journey for me. Witnessing the resilience of these children and the positive impact we can make together has been nothing short of inspiring. Let us remember that every small act of kindness can transform a child's life. Together, we can be the beacon of hope they deserve.
Thank you for your support, and I am truly excited about the journey ahead. With your help, we will continue to provide respite, support, and joy to the children at the KID agency, one smile at a time.
